A Solenoid Valve is an electromechanically operated valve. This is a kind of valve which is controlled by the help of an electric current through a solenoid. These solenoid valves offer a safe and quick switching, long service life, best reliability, low power control, compact design, and much more.
A single solenoid valve has one solenoid. It only moves when the voltage is supplied to the solenoid. It moves back to the “home” position when the voltage is removed. The cylinder has a “home” position when it is hooked to a single solenoid valve. It remains in the “home” state when there is no voltage supplied.
The double solenoid valves contain two solenoids. When you apply a voltage to one leaving the other, the valves get shifted. But if you apply a voltage to both the solenoid just at the same time, then the valves will remain in its position just like before. It will not move as these solenoids will be working against each other. You must make sure that the voltage is removed from one side while the voltage is supplied to the other.
The three-way solenoid valves are used for operating the single acting cylinders. They can be also used as a simple device for blowing air. They have three ports. They hook up in order to supply air to the inlet. And when the power is applied to the solenoid opens, the air releases out of the outlet. When the power is removed the solenoid helps in releasing the cylinder pressure out of the exhaust port. They are normally opened, closed, or universal, based on the condition of the valves.
There are five different types of solenoid valves and they are:-
The solenoid valve has the ability to control the flow of media whether it is opened or closed. The principles have its base around a thin copper wire wound which is around a core. It is such a way that when the electrical energy is applied to it, then a good amount of magnetic field can be generated by providing a lifting force to a ferromagnetic stainless steel armature. This is within the solenoid valve armature assembly and this in turn directly or indirectly changes the position of the valve.
The solenoid valves are basically used to control elements in the fluidics. There work is to turn off, dose, release, distribute, and mix fluids. There can be many valves in this complex system whose positions are added logically together by dictating the flow path. Several media control systems have too complex nature when it comes to allowing for manual valve operation. Thus, this leads to combining of a solenoid and the valve. These solenoid valves are also used in order to control the refrigerants in liquids.
- a } The valve size is the designated size which is typically the size of the opening passage.
- b } The pressure rating has the maximum safe value of pressure for value rating.
- c } The number of ports includes the number of the inlet as well as outlet ports to the valve.
- d } The power indicates the voltage that is drawn during the normal operation.
The body of the valve should be compatible with the fluid. Are you eager to know about the recent solenoid valve price? Simply visit our website for all the detailed information on Catering Parts.
